STEP 1: Set the Scene
We will interview all the main players to determine
what they would like to achieve for their team or
company and how they see themselves fitting into the
picture. During this stage we will use assessment
tools supplied by CRG to establish what
makes your team tick, what their strengths are and
how they work together.
STEP 2: Determine Strategic
Direction and Set Specific Goals
This step can either be accomplished during an intensive
two day workshop or a number of one-on-one meetings,
together lasting no longer than a month, then finalized
in an intensive and focused session. During this step
we will:
- Define the vision you have for your company or
team
- Set strategic direction
- Determine goals and objectives to achieve your
vision
- Set action plans to achieve the goals
- Develop measures to ensure results
- Draw up a one page plan
This step ensures that focus and clarity are achieved
in setting the strategic direction for the next 3
to 5 years. The planning systems we use ensure that
your staff are aligned and that everyone is on the
same page and understand the specific goals to be
achieved over the next year.
STEP 3: Monitor Progress
and Ensure Accountability
This is the most important step in the process. The
planning systems we use are different to standard
company planning and therefore require a certain amount
of transformation of the team and what is expected
of everyone. Our systems will produce bottom line
results but changes in process need to be made.
At least once a month we will meet and make sure
that each person is achieving their goals and that
they remain focused on their actions and accountable
to everyone else on the team. Through experience we
have found that any plan not monitored and kept current
will not deliver results. Therefore the team will
conduct weekly meetings, based on the plan, which
will be updated and progress measured.
This step will also give us an opportunity to continually
monitor your business. If there are any problems preventing
people from achieving their goals, these will be highlighted
and further actions can be developed to overcome the
problems. This further enhances success.
At the end of our 3 step
process you will notice a number of positive changes
to your business:
- Your business will become more flexible and able
to adapt to change more easily. Market changes,
customer demands and competitors will offer opportunities
and the chance to adapt.
- Your team will become stronger than the individual
members. They will work together as a team, hold
each other accountable, solve problems and achieve
their common vision.
- There will be better alignment between people,
divisions and systems. Performance and productivity
will increase as everyone, throughout the business,
will know their role in the company and what is
expected of them.
